General Domestic Plumbing Course - 12 Weeks Full Time
The course will provide you with all the technical knowledge and practical skills you need to become a successful domestic Plumber as well as the industry recognised City & Guilds plumbing qualification.
The course is delivered by way of a full time focused 12 week training program (Monday to Friday) at our training centre in Edenbridge Kent with qualified plumbing instructors providing classroom tuition as well as considerable practical hands on training in our state of the art plumbing workshops. In addition during the course you will receive business training on going self employment as well as employment options.
Plumbing Courses Inventory
The 6129-2 Technical Certificate comprises of the following exam modules: Health & Safety, Plumbing principles, Plumbing Processes, Cold water, Hot water, Sanitation, Central heating, Electrical principles, Lead, Environmental awareness and Effective working relationships. Twelve multiple choice exams are taken at our training centre during the course. We provide extensive workshop time during the course to complete your training and practical assessments. The following outlines some of the work you will be undertaking for the assessment tasks:
• Copper tube positioning, fixings and fabrication to WC, WHB and Bath.
• Installation and decommissioning of full bathroom including: WC, Bath, WHB, Radiator and associated under floor pipe work and pipe work to heating appliance.
• Plastic soil and waste pipe fabrication and installation
• Full installation of an hot water cylinder (vented)
• Fabrication and installation of guttering
• Lead: Chimney weathering set fabrication and installation, and lead stack pipe slate.
Course Duration and Location
Plumbing course duration :12 weeks from Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
